We are proud of our dancers who have continued on with dance after graduation from our academy.

 

Molly Schuneman

Molly ShunemanMolly Schuneman danced at Vaughan Dance Academy for 14 years and competed on the INNOVATION Dance Company for 7 years. She is currently a senior at the University of Iowa studying dance, women’s studies, and entrepreneurial management. She has performed in many dance shows at the University of Iowa including the 2012 Faculty/Graduate Concert, the 2012 Undergraduate/Graduate Concert, Dance Gala 2012, and Dance Gala 2013. She also travelled and performed with the university’s premiere dance troupe, Dancers in Company, during their 2012-2013 season. Molly had the pleasure of working with many great choreographers including Alan Sener, Charlotte Adams, Armando Duarte, Jennifer Kayle, and Nicholas Leichter. Molly has also been involved in her sorority by recently serving as the chapter’s president. She has most recently fallen in love with college students and student development theories and will be pursuing a master’s degree in student affairs.Molly treasures her time that she spent at the Vaughan Dance Academy because it not only instilled in her the love of dance and the arts, but it taught her hard work, poise; and gave her life long friendships.

Paige Jacobus

Paige Jacobus

Paige Jacobus, from Joliet, Illinois, began her training at Vaughan Dance Academy when she was three. She joined their competitive team, INNOVATION Dance Company, when she was seven years old. She competed with INNOVATION for eleven years, where she won top scores, choreography awards and scholarship opportunities at conventions. This past summer, Paige studied on scholarship at Visceral Dance Studio in Chicago, Illinois. She is currently continuing her training at Northern Illinois University where she anticipates receiving her BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Dance Performance in December of 2014. After college, she plans on dancing in the city of Chicago.

She would like to thank her mom, Lisa Jacobus, for her constant support and love, all of the faculty of VDA/IDC for introducing her to what she is most passionate about, and the faculty members at NIU for preparing her for the professional world of dance.
