Payment Options:

Option 1: Monthly Tuition Autopay

Your tuition will be conveniently and accurately debited to your checking account or credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover) monthly. Tuition will be deducted on the 1st of each month. Charges on your bank statement or credit cards statement will read as Vaughan Dance Academy. All accounts will be automatically signed up for auto-deduction at registration unless otherwise requested.

Option 2: Pay Monthly with Debit/Credit Card or Check.

You can pay in full during our registration days with cash, check or debit/credit card.

Tuition is prepaid 1 month ahead for Vaughan Dance Academy and paid the month of for Innovation Dance Company.

NOTE:  Annual Session is 36 weeks long and tuition divided into 9 equal payments. Summer Session  tuition is due in full for the 6 weeks.

 

PRICING BY REQUEST

Annual Registration Fee: There is no registration fee for new students for the first year of classes. After a student’s first year, an annual registration fee of $25.00 per student is charged at Annual Registration.

General Studio Policies & Procedures:

Vaughan Dance Academy reserves the right to terminate lessons for a parent or student for not following studio policies. To ensure a safe and pleasant environment, management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason they deem necessary.

Parents are Responsible For:

  • Check your email the 1st of every month for emailed statements.

  • Understanding how to log into your customer portal.

  • Logging into portal to pay for costumes and recital ticket charges.

  • Being aware of dates and events, such as make-up classes, vacation days, rehearsal dates and recital dates. Newsletters will be e-mailed as well as posted on bulletin boards.

  • Making studio aware of any medical problems a student may have.

  • Inform the studio if you have moved or if any account information has changed: phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.

  • Inform the studio if you have not received your monthly statement.

  • Check your e-mail that is on file weekly for studio information.

  • Make sure you get your student to and from class timely.

  • Make sure your student is following attendance and attire policies.

  • Paying on time.

  • Restrict talking/noise to a minimum in lobbies so classes are not disturbed.

  • No smoking or alcohol is allowed in the lobbies or studios.

  • All siblings must be monitored at all times.

  • Please clean up food and drink spills promptly and throw away any containers in garbage cans.  Please do not throw away food in recycle bins. 

 

Lateness & Class Attendance: The studio reserves the right to have student sit out who come late to class (more than 5 minutes late). Repeated lateness may result in termination of lessons. If you feel that you will be late, please call or e-mail the studio to ask permission to enter the class late. A minimum attendance level is expected. For the Summer Session, a student should miss no more than 2 classes. For the Fall Session, a student should miss no more than 9 classes. Lack of attendance could result in termination of your account. After 3 consecutive absences, a student will be automatically dropped. If a student misses more than 4 classes after January, they will not be allowed to perform in the annual recital. If a student is injured, please make arrangements with management.

Notification of Termination: Notification of termination must be made prior to the next monthly billing statement. This must be done in writing or by e-mail.

Dropped Classes: We will adjust your monthly tuition deduction for dropped classes. Refunds will be given for unused class. The studio must be informed of dropped class before next billing cycle (1st of the month). Otherwise, a credit for future classes will be given versus a refund.

Missed Classes: Refunds will not be given for missed classes. If a student misses a class, they may make it up in a corresponding class. However, please note that not all classes have a corresponding class. In those cases, classes cannot be made up.

Late Fees: Tuition is due the 1st of the month. Any tuition received after the 15th of the month will receive a $15 late fee. If any charge is more than 2 months past due it will automatically be charged to the credit card on file. 

NSF Fees: An NSF Fee of $25.00 will be charged to your Vaughan Dance Academy account for any returned checks.

Extreme Weather: If District 202 cancels class or after school activities due to extreme weather, we will also cancel. Parents will be notified via e-mail, website and facebook pages. A make-up date will be offered. If a make-up date cannot be scheduled, a refund will be given.

Substitutions: Vaughan Dance Academy reserves the right to schedule a substitute teacher if the regular scheduled teacher is ill or is otherwise unable to teach class. If the studio cannot arrange a substitute teacher, a make-up date will be scheduled.

Dress Code: Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Failure to wear required dancewear to class could result in students being asked to sit out the class. Repeated failure to wear the required dancewear could result in termination of lessons.  Students are not permitted to wear jeans or street shoes to any dance class. For safety reasons, dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry. Hair must be secured back in a bun, ponytail, or braids. Please make student’s dancewear with their initials.

Care of Students: A student should not be dropped off more than 10 minutes before class and picked up no later than 5 minutes after class. It is not the studio’s responsibility to provide before and after class care of students. Parents should stay at the studio for students under the age of 5yrs during class.

Behavior: Students are expected to follow appropriate dress codes for class. Students must conduct themselves properly at all times. They must show respect and cooperate with the instructor, assistant instructors and fellow class members. No food, gum or drinks are allowed in studio except for water bottles. Street shoes are not allowed in studios.

Lost Items: There are lost and found bins in lobbies and dressing rooms. Left items will be placed in lost and found bins by our receptionists at the end of each night. The studio is not responsible for left items. If you think you left something expensive, please call the studio as soon as possible and reception will check the bins.

Medical Release: A medical release must be signed before students can participate in class. Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to legal action for any injury sustained on the school property for activities in class and any other activity conducted by student before or after class.

Photo Release: A photo release can be signed at registration. This is optional. It allows the studio permission to use photographs of your dancer for the website, brochures, posters and any other promotional materials made by the studio.

Contacting Instructors: Instructors cannot be contacted individually. If you need to call in an absences or have issues/concerns, please contact the studio. Please direct billing or other questions to the receptionist on duty. Disrupting class is not permitted.

Monday Holidays:  VDA and Innovation do not observe Monday holidays.  There will still be class on all Monday holidays except Labor Day and Memorial Day.

There are no exceptions to these policies and procedures.
